Chairman

Mr. Thamarai Kannan's story is one of quiet determination and hard earned success. After completing his M.Com in 1978, he began his professional career as a clerk at Transport Corporation of India, and through consistent performance and leadership, rose to the position of Regional Head by 1982.

In 1988, with ₹50,000 in capital and two trucks, he left the security of a salaried role and founded ST Roadways. It was a calculated leap of faith, and one that would define the next four decades of his life. Under his leadership, the company grew from a two truck operation into a respected name in road logistics, built on the principles of reliability, integrity, and care for people. That founding spirit continues to guide every decision the company makes today.

Mr. Saravanakumar joined ST Roadways in 2014 with a clear sense of purpose, not simply to carry forward a legacy, but to build on it. Bringing fresh thinking and operational discipline to the business, he took on increasing responsibility from the very start.

His impact became most visible between 2014 and 2020, when he led the company through a period of significant growth, scaling the business threefold in six years. As Managing Director, he continues to drive the company's evolution: strengthening operations, deepening customer relationships, and shaping ST Roadways into an organisation that is as prepared for tomorrow as it is grounded in the values its founder established.
